Organic Denmark says it wants to increase awareness of the four principles of organic – Health, Fairness, Ecology and Care – which form the foundations of organic food and farming globally, but that remain unfamiliar for many.

Denmark’s organic lead body says says that the impact from food production on climate and on biodiversity makes the four organic principles more relevant than ever before. So it has launched a campaign to increase public awareness of the principles, that will include outdoor events, special social media activity and a series of short films – one for each principle.

“In the campaign, we have ‘translated’ the principles to align with now modern consumers think and act”

Organic Denmark says: “In the campaign, we have ‘translated’ the principles to align with how modern consumers think and act. We hope that texts, graphics, films and other material will be put to good use and serve as inspiration for organic businesses to promote the organic principles. Because organics is not just about labelling.”
