Hunts Food Group, owner of Queenswood Natural Foods, has stepped in to rescue the specialist health food wholesaler The Health Store, which was placed in administration last week along with its sister company Tree of Life.
Commenting on the development, Chris Pole, Managing Director at insolvency specialist Interpath Advisory and Joint Administrator, said: “Hunt’s Food Group has an excellent reputation within the industry, and has broadened both its produce and service offerings in recent years to supply a wide ranging customer base”.

Under the deal, VMS, THS pre-packs another non-food and bulk commodity lines will managed out of THS’s Nottingham site, while orders for branded ambient, chilled and frozen foods will handled by Queenswood’s Bridgwater, Somerset, facility. 17 jobs at THS are expected to be saved under the rescue package.
