Holland & Barrett has launched a new 6-product-strong ‘Value’ supplements line, priced at £1.50 each for 30 tablets (5p per day).
The retailer says it has developed the range in response to growing pressure on household budgets and says it means consumers “can still access pocket-friendly essential vitamins and supplements without compromising on quality.”
The new Value range includes multivitamins for both children and adults, Vitamin C, Calcium with Vitamin D, Cod Liver Oil and Glucosamine Sulphate.
The headline grabbing price point seems to have been achieved mainly by virtue of the 30-serving pack size. Per tablet pricing is not dissimilar to other products in H&B’s basic own-label supplements, or competitor products (for example, Boots, Tesco and Superdrug general wellbeing ranges).
