This year’s Organic September – the month long celebration of all things organic organised by the Soil Association – is coming up quickly.
This year’s promotion is based around the theme of ‘50 Years of Loving Organic’ (it’s 50 years since the Soil Association began certifying organic farms in the UK). To reflect that half century of organic advocacy, the campaign materials this year have a slightly retro vibe. But there is also more of an activist tone to this year’s promotion, as the Soil Association’s marketing director, Alex Cullen, told Natural Newsdesk.
She commented: “We want this year’s campaign to emphasise that there’s no Net Zero without fixing farming. So this year’s campaign will highlight the role that organic farming can play in mitigating climate change, halting biodiversity loss, improving soil health and farming in ways that are better for animals, people and the planet”.

Once again, the Soil Association is keen to work in partnership with independent health food retailers. “By getting involved, you’re offering your customers the chance to help change our food system for the better – and grow your organic sales,” it says.
The organic charity has prepared some eye-catching campaign materials to use in-store, both physical and digital. There’s a free retailer pack that can be ordered from their website that includes ‘Love Organic’ themed post-cards, posters, staff pick cards and a vinyl window sticker. And there are digital graphics and buttons aplenty for use on social media. Order by 4th August for delivery in time for September.
