Target Publishing has recognised dedicated health store staff in Ireland with its annual awards, held in partnership with Health Stores Ireland.
The Health Store Heroes awards are designed to honour the efforts of staff working in health food stores across Ireland, across a number of categories. They are run by Target Publishing, which publishes Health Food Business magazine, in partnership with Health Stores Ireland.
The awards were announced at Health Stores Ireland’s Trade Gathering, held in Shannon at the weekend. The one-day event attracted a range of suppliers as exhibitors and a number of retailers from across Ireland for a positive day of business and networking.
Rachel Symonds, editor of Health Food Business, and Ruth Gilmour, sales director at Target Publishing, were in attendance as exhibitors and were delighted to present the awards.
The winners were:
- Leader of the Pack – Brid Smyth, Evergreen.
- Social Star – Caroline Flack, Licorice Health Foods.
- Merchandising Maestro – joint winners of Natalie Walsh, Blasta Wholefoods, and Laura Vaughan, The Health Connection.
- Rising Star – Johanna Heavin, Golden Health Store
Symonds commented: “We know that the dedicated staff working in health food stores across Ireland are the backbone of these shops, so it is an honour for us, as a magazine dedicated to independent health food stores, to be able to recognise this. We are delighted to be able to work closely with Health Stores Ireland on this initiative and look forward to continuing our partnership in the years ahead.”
