US-based natural soap pioneer Dr Bronner’s has been using social media channels to highlight its standout employee benefits programme.
Among these are a $27.28 starting wage for all permanent employees, up to $7,500 a year in child care assistance, up to 10% of salary into a profit-sharing plan and a free daily organic and vegan lunch.
The company says it is able to offer supportive terms because it applies a 5-to-1 cap on executive salaries, meaning Dr. Bronner’s executives can’t make more than 5 times the income of its lowest-paid, fully-vested employees.
