UK smoothie brand Mockingbird has launched a new cold-pressed juice shot – the Raw Gut Shot – which joins the brand’s existing Raw Ginger Shot.
Described as ‘deliciousness with a kick’, the new SKU has been crafted using fresh raw and nutritionally dense ingredients, featuring zingy lemon, sweet honey and soothing lemon balm, enriched with chicory root fibre for gut health. Each 60ml shot contains 100% RDA of vitamins A, B, C and D.
Mockingbird’s production process sees the ingredients gently cold-pressed in small batches and prepared using a high-pressure process (HPP) to avoid loss of nutrients through heat damage.
“Since we first launched into the shots category at the end of last year, we’ve been invigorating the space, injecting fresh colour, flavour and functional benefits, as well as introducing vegetables into the mix,” explains co-founder Chris Laidlaw. “With gut health such a major trend and with research showing this to be relevant to the juices and smoothies category, the launch of our Raw Gut Shot SKU was a natural next step for us. We’re super proud of the product and to be bringing all our expertise in taste and nutrition into the gut health space.”
The brand, whose growing product portfolio now spans smoothies, juices and shots, recently picked up the DBA Grand Prix 2024 Award for its standout visual identity and packaging, and is a proud member of the Buy Women Built campaign.
Partnering with FareShare, Mockingbird is also on a mission to end fruit and veg poverty, and this year has already donated over 30,000 bottles of raw smoothies to charity groups across the UK.
