Horans Healthstore has extended its store portfolio to 20 with the opening a new outlet in the Dublin suburb of Tallaght .

The new store is located in the The Square shopping centre and leisure complex. The new Horans outlet occupies a unit formerly owned by The Health Store (the latter chain went into liquidation in summer 2024). 

The opening marks the continuing expansion of the 100% Irish-owned business. Horans was established 1988 by owner Dan Horan, originally as a fruit and veg store, with a small healthy food section at the back of the shop. Today, the retailer is one of the best-known names on the Irish health food retail scene and employs over 90 people. The majority of its stores are in the Munster region, but it also operates a store in Dun Laoghaire Co. Dublin.
