Seasons Wholefoods has been named Independent Local Shop/Village Store of the year in the 2026 Farm Shop and Deli Retailer Awards. 

With a history going back 50 years, Seaons – with stores in Forest Row and Lewes – has been a stalwart of the Sussex whole foods scene since the early 1970s, forging relationships with local growers and producers and strong ties with its local community. 

The awards judges highlighted Seasons’ “clear, authentic commitment to health and wellbeing … outstanding sustainability leadership including organic focus, bike delivery and B Corp certification ..and its deep community connection”. 

Robin Walden, who joined the family-owned business in 2014 and has overseen expansion and re-energisation of the Forest Row store and the opening of the Lewes branch, said: “we are really honoured to receive this recognition. Seasons has always been built around a belief in real food, meaningful relationships, and a deep responsibility to our people and planet. The award is a great reflection of the care and dedication so many people bring into what we do..”
