Alara says its Singles range shows convenience and eco credentials really can mix

Alara Singles, a new range of single serve breakfast products from sustainable food pioneer Alara Wholefoods, sets out to show that convenience and powerful health and eco credentials really can mix. 

The new range features five products from Alara’s Net Zero Food range of organic breakfast cereals. Three of these are also gluten-free, maximising their appeal to health conscious consumers and making the range a highly flexible solution for retailers and food service businesses alike. 

Commenting on the launch, Alara’s founding director, Alex Smith, says: “There’s a huge consumer interest in convenience, and that’s reflected by the growth in convenience breakfast products. But there’s a big problem – they are mostly extremely wasteful. And they almost always come in plastic pots or sachets, where there’s the real risk that they end up contributing to the plastic pollution epidemic.

Alara Singles will be officially launched at the Lunch! Show in London (23-34 September). Smith believes Alara Singles offer a compelling proposition for the food service sector. “We are launching this range at Lunch! because we believe it has tremendous potential in the food service sector, where there is enormous demand now for gluten-free, and in many cases organic, options. Providing cafés, coffee shops and other food sector operators with gluten-free and organic single serve products, without the need to be licensed for organic, or going through the protocols for gluten-free, will tick a lot of boxes.”

The five products in the Alara Singles line-up are: Fruits & Seeds Muesli, Crispy Fruit Muesli, Scottish Oats Gluten Free Porridge, Goji & Cranberry Gluten Free Muesli and Golden Crisp Gluten Free Granola.

Alara Singles will retail at £2.94 for a box of six individually wrapped 40g portions.
