Planet Organic’s first ever store outside London opens today in Henley-on-Thames.

The new 2,440 sq ft store, located at 12-16 Market Place (a former Superdrug site), marks the first step of the retailer’s plans to grow its store portfolio to 50 outlets within five years, of which 35 are expected to be in the capital.

Described as a “fantastic fit”, Henley also meets the company’s criteria of being within a 45 minute drive of its new distribution centre in Sunbury-on-Thames, West London.

Nick Ridley, Property Director at Planet Organic said: “The opening of our new store in Henley, our first outside of London, is just around the corner.  The whole Planet team are hugely excited to be able to invite the local community to discover better with us, from October 28th. We believe Planet Organic is a perfect fit for Henley. We are delighted to be bringing our organic and sustainable products, famous coffee, juices, and wide range of health and body care products to the town, complementing today’s fantastic retail mix.

“For over 26 years we’ve been helping customers make better choices for their community, and the planet, and the opening of our Henley store marks the first step in our exciting plans for expansion both in the capital and beyond. We’ve loved seeing the store take shape over the past few weeks and are counting down the days to opening now.”
