Planet Organic is joining forces with Waitrose, with Planet’s own-label range being made available in 50 Waitrose stores (and online) from 2023. The collaboration will also see Planet stores selling a selection of Waitrose branded products from next year.
The move is part of Planet Organic’s ambitious growth plans, which include expanding its store portfolio to 50 outlets (from its current 12) over the next five years. Last month, the retailer launched its first range of own-label supplements, the first offering from its new ‘Planet Originals’ stable.
Planet Organic and Waitrose say the relationship highlights the shared brand values between the companies, especially around sustainability, community, ethical business and provenance.
Waitrose has identified an opportunity to grow in the health and wellbeing sector and the partnership will provide its customers with access to Planet Organic’s innovative health and wellness brands.
