Alara Wholefoods’ winter Wassailing Party is a local institution in the Camley Road community, where the company’s factory and offices are located. And it returns again this year, on 23 February.

Wassailing is an annual tradition of blessing orchards to ensure a good harvest to come, which dates back to the early Middle Ages.

Alara’s King’s Cross site is home to a unique permaculture garden – developed by company founder Alex Smith – that supports over 200 fruit trees, making the annual winter especially fitting.

The wassailing party, which features live music, food and drinks, children’s games and more, is free to attend and staged each year by Alara. As well being open to the whole of the Camley Road community, the company again is extending an invitation to the wider natural and organic community. Just turn up, grab some food and drink – and be reawakened!

The Alara Wassailing Party takes place at 108-112 Camley Road, London, NIC 4PF.
