Veganz ‘2D printed’ organic oat drink line hits specialist retailer shelves

European plant-based food innovator Veganz says its ‘2D printed’ oat drink product Veganz Bio Mililk Oat Barista is now available to the specialist retail channel in Germany via organic wholesaler Terra Naturkost.

Five-litre packs in ‘leaf-form’ barista quality gluten-free organic oats are now available through the wholesaler, in addition to existing availability at national supermarket chain REWE.

Veganz says the leaf-form product saves 94% packaging waste and 85% weight compared to products in milk cartons. The organic oats used in the products are grown in Europe, reducing food miles.

Veganz says the product is also space-saving, while offering a long shelf-life. Consumers make up their own liquid product by tearing up and blending a sheet of Mililk with water (one sheet making 250 ml of oat drink).

Mililk is made using five natural ingredients (with the oatmeal, oat fibre, rapeseed oil and locust bean gum all from certified organic farming).

Veganz was founded in Berlin in 2011 and originally known as a European vegan supermarket chain. Having since expanded further into the vegan sector, and leveraging the plant-based nutritional trend, it now offers a product portfolio spanning all eating occasions. Veganz is B Corp certified, compares the environmental impact of all its own products with all foods in German-speaking countries and aims to set new benchmarks for a sustainable food industry.
