In a move to strengthen its position in the functional mushroom space, DIRTEA has established a new expert-led science board and appointed neuroscientist as chief science officer.
A recognised authority in brain health and neuroplasticity, Swart will guide the brand’s ongoing commitment to education and product development, ensuring the highest standards of scientific integrity across its range of functional mushroom products.
As part of the collaboration, Swart will play a central role in educating consumers about the benefits of functional mushrooms, particularly their ability to enhance mental clarity, cognitive function and overall wellbeing. She will create content including educational Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, as well as exclusive blog posts and articles for the DIRTEA community, and will also host events aimed at increasing awareness of functional mushrooms.
